The Persistence of Memory

Salvador Dali is best known for his surrealist paintings in which he used his creativity to portray reality. In The Persistence of Memory, clocks melt and droop on a desert landscape. The soft watches may represent the relativity of time, or the idea that our perception of time is affected by how we view the world. This fine art canvas print portrays soft seashells and stones on a beach littered with watches that have softened to the point of melting under the sun’s rays.
